Currently eight individual units provided to single or married parents with minor children in need of housing assistance.
Clients are either currently homeless or in the process of an irrevocable eviction.
These families are provided housing and supplies during their two - four week stay.
Each unit is required to meet with their caseworker daily to ensure their case plan is actively progressing. Booth Manor encourages parents to utilize the Learning Zone program and also collaborates with Akron Public Schools Project Rise to receive assistance with after school tutoring and transportation for children within the school system. Due to receiving funds through Ohio Department of Development (ODOD), the program is required to be part of the Continuum of Care (CoC) within Summit County.
In 2010, 7,401 nights of lodging were provided to families in Booth Manor Shelter.
